Special Announcements

Director's Corner

Sunscreen ~ With the warmer weather upon us we ask that you apply a layer of sunscreen to your child at home in the morning and we will re-apply before outside time. Please be sure to label your child’s sunscreen and give it to a teacher in your child’s class. Also a sunscreen form must be filled out and on file for us to apply sunscreen to your child. Please see the front office for a non-prescription form.

Reminder~ Please be sure that your child has a clean sheet and blanket in his/her cubby and a full change of clothing in case of an accident/spill. Infants need a clean sheet for each day of the week they are here. Sheets and blankets should be taken home at the end of the week to be washed and returned at the beginning of the week.

Tutor Time Sick and Medication Policy

Dear Parents,

As you know, the health and safety of our children and staff is of the utmost importance to us. With the recent resurgence of the flu across the United States and cold and flu season in full swing, we felt this was a good time to remind our families of our policy regarding child illnesses, which you can find in our family handbook.

Obviously the best way to ensure our students have limited exposure to germs is by keeping children at home when they are ill and/or contagious. We ask that you please watch your child closely and contact your physician if they appear to be feeling under the weather.

Please know that if your child does become ill at the school, we will call you immediately so that they can be picked up. If you are unavailable, we ask that you please have another family member or trusted adult arrange for pick-up. Keep in mind that we will require your child to be home until they are symptom free for at least 24 hours.

Reasons we would call you to have your child picked up:

• A fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more
• Diarrhea or vomits twice (2x)
• Has green discharge from the nose
• Has discoloration, itching, or a discharge from the eyes
• Has a discharge from the ears
• Any unusual rashes or head lice

If your child has a contagious disease, your child may not return to All medications can only be given with a current Medication Authorization Form completed by the parent. All medications must be in their original container and given as directed on the label/prescription. It is up to you to keep us informed of any allergies, updated shots, or other health-related matters.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have other questions. We realize you have a choice when it comes to selecting an early education provider for your family and thank you for your continued confidence in Tutor Time
school unless a written note from a physician is provided.
